I predict that Joe Biden will be just as stupid and irrelevant one year from now as he is today.

Even in the face of the factual defeat of their stupid theories, these people continue to try to advance their agenda through lies, deceit and spin.

Leftists have never cared about facts or truth, it's control and domination they're after.

In the old days (like two years ago) every time it got cold the green-left would lecture us about the difference between weather and climate. Course when it got hot they forgot the difference themselves.

No more. Whatever the weather it’s all climate change now.

Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday predicted that extreme weather events would continue to hit the United States despite skepticism from “global warming deniers.”

And it will also continue to hit the United States despite complete credulity by the global warming promoters. That's because people can try to emulate King Canute and order the weather back after failing on the tides, and will end up with the same result again.

What should we do Uncle Joe? Should I have a double barreled shotgun ready in case there is climate change based civil unrest?

extreme weather events would continue to hit the United States despite skepticism from “global warming deniers.”

Where to begin with this statement?

First, I wouldn't call a brief period of zero degree weather in the North an "extreme weather event." Despite the best efforts of weathermen to turn this into some spectacular event to hype ratings (the "real feel temperature is negative 10!!!!!"), it isn't.

Second, he sets up one of the stupidest false challenges. Weather is what it is. "Skepticism" does not impact it. So the idea that weather events will continue "despite" skepticism is a logical non sequitur.

Yesterday, I read the old Newsweek story in 1975 about the “cooling of the earth,” in which scientists were absolutely, irrefutably certain we were heading to an ice age. Some of the brilliant eminences of science back then suggested possible one solution to head of the coming catastrophe: head up the polar ice caps and melt the ice.

Because they were sure.. consensus and all...

I like how it went from “global warming” to “climate change”...and now, back to “global warming”...and everyone is doing it. It’s almost like they get their talking points from the same place....hmmmmm

First they were honest and only spoke of “global warming”, because although the models had holes in them like swiss cheese, “catastrophic warming” is what they predicted.

Then the “warming” did not manifest much in the last decade, so they switched tactics to calling the whole issue “climate change” - as if prior to modern times the climate never changed.

Lately “climate change” having no direct meaning to anyone whose local weather is not changing much (most people), the issue has morphed into “weather extremes”.

However, the only thing that sustains the new climate bogeyman is not science with regard to the number of extreme weather events - such as hurricanes, typhoons and and tornadoes (which have not increased in number in recent years) - but the “salesmen” of the alarmists, the media, the global media, making sure - unlike in the past - every little blip in the weather anywhere is blown up and broadcast to the smallest hamlets in the world, and not due to science but the reach of the media, little people every where can honestly say they were not hearing reports like that from far away when they were kids, so something certainly has “changed”.

I received anxious inquiries from friends overseas (S.East Asia) inquiring if everyone here was O.K. in the “extreme cold” we have here in the U.S. Northeast.

I wrote back telling them: “It’s called winter.”

No doubt setting us up for the old "global warming would have happened if Fox News and the Tea Party weren't obstructing and so skeptical."
