Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer, who starred at Fresno State and won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, said Tim Tebow was one of the best quarterbacks in college football without even knowing how to throw a football properly.
Now, according to Dilfer, Tebow can throw the football like an NFL quarterback and deserves a shot on an NFL roster. He predicted that Tebow would eventually make an NFL roster again.
In a segment for ESPN, Dilfer said that Tebow wanted Dilfer to give him an objective evaluation. Dilfer went to USC's campus and profiled Tebow's intense devotion to bettering himself as a quarterback. Tebow spent 10 hours a day for six days a week training. And he did that for five months to make himself a better quarterback.

If you watch the video you’ll see the quick pass is one area he’s been working on. So yes he can know pass it faster then 2.8 seconds.
Don’t know about the reading defenses. he’s always struck me as someone who is willing to study though.
“I believe I could throw a football better than Trent Dilfer.”
Very accurate arm for the key shorter to intermediate passes. That translates to third down conversions.
Made some beautiful passes when he WON the SuperBowl.
The question is can he do it at game time. He’s put out impressive workout videos before, only to not be any good with actual players on the field.
Hello Cleveland-—you guys need a hard working QB. Take a chance on Tebow— at least give him a shot at it. That goes for Houston too.
Hey, Ryan Leaf!...posts from prison.
I’d like to see him given a chance. There are plenty of teams who need a QB.
He’s been given chances by 4 coaches at 3 teams. Somebody else might throw a tryout at him at some point. But I wouldn’t expect him on the field in a game that counts. He has shown to simply not have the tools for the NFL game.
And yet he was unable to show he had the stuff to be a real NFL quarterback last summer in training camp. So what's different this time?
With three downs, a larger field, and separation between offensive and defensive lines, the CFL is a passing league. Passing is not Tebow's strong suit.
you didnt watch the video did you?
He’ll sell tickets, there are several teams who could use that.
Not for long, people want to see the team win, not see the celebrity QB throw the ball at the ground.
He is better than half the QBs in the NFL.

Name them. Yes, I’m calling you out.
If he was better than half the QBs in the league he’d have a team. He doesn’t, so he isn’t.
I think he's a fine young man. But his skill set as an NFL qb is lacking. QBs are a scarce resource in the NFL. If a guy is that good he'd be on a roster, not behind the mic.
Warren Moon didn’t get drafted; spent a few years in the CFL and is in the NFL Hall of Fame.
I did. If Tebow is capable of looking at the camera and with a straight face say that over the past four months he now understands what it means to have mechanics, what it means to have footwork then my only question is where the heck has he been for the last 15 or so years?
They talk about rebuilding his throwing mechanics. Testaverde said he and Tebow spent the last off season rebuilding his throwing mechanics; and it made no difference. His performance with New England was miserable. Tebow can work on his mechanics all he wants, it isn't going to make a difference. There is more to being a QB than that. He can't read defenses. He has no head for the game. His accuracy stinks. His decision making under pressure leaves a whole lot to be desired. Tebow has had chance after chance to impress the people who matter in the NFL and he has failed at every attempt. I congratulate him on his announcer job on the SEC network and I hope he enjoys it. Because he will not be on an NFL team next fall.
While I agree with your statement I disagree with your assessment of Tebow. College ball requires the same amount of defense readings as the NFL and in college, Tebow fulfilled that requirement.
When he played briefly for the Broncos he played well despite his shortcomings in "mechanics". Considering that Denver now has Peyton Manning at the position, it's apparent Tebow was merely a fill in until Manning became healthy and was able to come on board. They had no intentions whatsoever in keeping Tebow........
Judging by the video, Tebow has come a long, long way and according to Dilfer, he's ready for stardom in the NFL.
But Dilfer also clarified his assessment by mentioning the fact that Tebow will have the "media baggage" that not many teams will be willing to deal with.............
We'll see.......
Good things happen to people when they work to make them happne, and I am confident that Tim will play QB in the NFL Real Soon Now!
I’d love to see him here in Jax!
The CFL has a draft just like the NFL. Tebow was drafted by Montreal. They have said that he would be unlikely to start for them. That will not help him much.
