God Gave Us Reason, Not Religion

Then Man started the BS that followed. “God talks ONLY to us. You HAVE to join us. Convert or DIE. Give us your MONIES, DAUGHTERS, TIME or else”.

Who can even imagine the damage religion has done to the human? That which transpires between Man and God needs no middleman, taxation, dogma, guilt, or force. To say (demand) otherwise just spotlights you particular cult.

Superstitious swine be gone.

The atheist guy in this video debates without getting angry or insulting. That impressed me.

It is fine for an individual who can’t explain God’s existence to themselves to choose atheism as their belief. Sad though it may be to me, I respect their choice. What I can’t condone are the activist atheist that seek to stamp out belief in God as though it were a plague. Their intolerance of all things Christian is very telling.

The reason I posted this video, was because I believe it expresses in a number of ways, the challenge we face as conservative Christians.

The young atheist is at the top of his game and is actually willing to debate in a respectful manner. That I respect.

He is/was the V.P. of the atheist society at Cornell University. The same place where Carl Sagan spent most of his career. There are certainly others. But this is a reflection of how some university groups attempt to influence people and in turn public policy.

These atheists are building a world, of and on, uncertainty. This is extremely troubling.

Highly educated/indoctrinated in feel-good concepts that needs to jump through hoops to avoid any notion of “Absolutes”.

While the Christian in this video knows his stuff, there where a few opportunities when the atheist said “That’s an interesting question”, Personally, I would have asked him “WHY” he thought it interesting, and let him dig his own grave.

The inability of both Christians and Conservatives to push our opposition into defining the basis of their beliefs has left us with the mess we are in.

Those foundations must be challenged.

I retired from an Aeorspace position where I was honored to work on proposals for aerospace contracts. During that episode, a young engineer from my company used the term "We believe that ...", and an experienced "outside" engineer reviewer critized those words with ... "beliefs belong in church."

And so it is... beliefs should have no bearing when it comes to contractural matters.

Those foundations must be challenged.
