If you haven't picked up on it by now, let me tell you how aggravated I am about hearing people, supposedly educated, and once they get started, speak very good English, but they start almost every utterance with .. so.
We make fun of the Caroline Kennedy's, like, because they like, y'know, speak to like .. good.
The latest seems to be, beginning with SO

I knew we were in trouble when I heard some of the bozos from the IRS do this in their congressional testimony...cripes!
My big peeves are “off-TEN” instead of “off-phen” for often and the non-use of adverbs, as in “...eat healthy” or “...buy local”...
makes my teeth grind....
