If I wanted my desktop monitor to have fingerprints smeared all over it by “dragging” items from one spot to another, I’d get an OS like my phone. Personally, I despise smeary prints all over my screen so I will stay with the OS designed for desktops and laptops, thank you.
An Android OS makes sense when there’s no real keyboard or the keyboard is really tiny. Otherwise, it sucks.
+1
And my mouse is much handier than reaching 2' to the wall where the monitor's mounted.
as to operating system emulations...
I like windows 8 on a laptop, but fingerprints are the trade-off. I don’t get touch screen desktops, though.
I have a real keyboard for my iPad, but even so, I still use the screen features a whole lot more (like the software keyboard, etc.) ... :-) ...
Preach it brother! If anything ever sets me off at work it'll be when someone comes into my office, has me pull up some info on the computer, then sticks their greasy finger on my monitor ... For crying out loud people - learn to communicate and articulate without merely pointing! We are a little past cave-man grunts and gestures aren't we?

I agree! I can move a cursor much more efficiently and faster from a mouse or touch pad than I can from a touch screen. I don't see why this should be considered progress.
You sound old. I bet you miss the horse and buggy days.
