$75,000 dollars????????
She either has a bad lawyer or a bad case, this should be in the millions.
Horrible. I hope she wins.

This is just one reason that health care costs go through the roof. Some dip wad lawyer got a hold of this woman (who obviously doesn’t like the police to begin with). Medically the amputation has nothing to do with her being cuffed and put in jail. This is insanity that will continue until we do something about shyster lawyers
Just got to love the *** damn state ;/
Some day... I don’t know when, these police are going to need US. With their continued abuse and militarization, many people are going to simply look the other way, when one of them needs help.
For what could be coming, there simply aren’t enough of them to maintain order when the SHTF. Nowhere near enough. It doesn’t matter how many federally paid for armored ‘toys’ and automatic weapons they have.
They are slowly but surely bringing it upon themselves.
It should be noted the most important thing was accomplished: All cops and jailers got home safely at the end of their shifts.
Once this woman was arrested and thrown in jail the facility has an obligation to provide for the well being of the inmate. The ignored her medical condition and they should pay dearly for this woman losing her arm. IF she went in with the medical condition pre-existing the jail still has an obligation to get the medical treatment she required. IF the injuries sustained during her arrest caused the loss of her arm they failed to provide the medical care and must be made to pay for this.
Jail is ideally a punishment to “correct” a person’s anti-social behavior. It is not somewhere to just send people for needless suffering. If someone requires daily life saving medication should that person be condemned to death for a two week DUI sentence?
Perhaps the officer didn’t have time to attend to her needs because he was too busy driving back to her house to shoot her dog?
