2013 Bowl Season, ACC stinks, Pac12 rocks, may mean trouble for Florida State.

Florida State is the BCS favorite. But if you look at how the ACC is faring so far, it does not look good.

ACC results so far:

Marshall over Maryland 31-20

North Carolina over Cincy 39-17

Mississippi over Ga Tech 25-17 (it wasn't that close)

Arizona over Boston Col. 42-19

UCLA over Virginia Tech 42-12

so the ACC is 1-5 by a total score of 157-107.

What I conclude is to bet on Auburn to beat Florida State.

I think maybe now that the BCS is over, the SEC and the PAC12 may see each other in the playoffs next season, should be fun to watch and then the real bragging rights or humiliation will begin.

Happy New Year!

Of course it looks bad for the ACC. We’re underdogs in every game until FSU.

the big 12 has looked good by stomping Michigan (Makes Ohio State look iffy against Clemson) and Texas Tech beating a good ASU team which is the only pac12 team to lose in a non freakish manner.

the big 12 only loss is to a very very good Oregon team.

bravo for big 12.

SEC is WAY over-rated/rant off :-)

Yeah, I know-I mean, how soon people forget the last seven BCS Championships were won by Pac12 teams, right??
Geez, what a maroon...

Pac12 only got 1 opportunity to play for a championship the last 7 years and Oregon was not embarassed in losing to Auburn.

I do think the SEC is overrated because it keeps beating up the big10 and ACC.

I think that continues this year as Florida State will be shown to be only a very good team but not a great team by playing in the ACC.

If Texas had a decent quarterback, they would have still lost but it would have been competitive. BU should win but OU and OSU are iffy.

Out of all the ACC bowls we are and were only favored in two, one being FSU in the NC game. So other ACC team’s records are meaningless to FSU in this game.

second half looks like a mirror image of the first half

two possessions for duke, a failure on 4th down and a missed FG

2 TD’s for AM

and no punts.

Thanks for the clarification.
In your OWN words, Pac12 has only been in ONE BCS Championship in the last seven years, and weren’t embarrassed while the SEC has WON the last seven!
WELL, it’s OBVIOUS the Pac 12 is superior to the SEC!
Is the “sarc” tag even necessary here...?
One other thing-whether from the Big10 or the ACC, SEC beats whoever they meet in the Championship.
A little advice for New Years-put the bottle away...you’ve obviously had too much!

My wife and I are in a hotel in Jacksonville. Gonna go to the Gator bowl tomorrow and hopefully watch Georgia beat up on the corn huskers. Go Dawgs!

I think the best BCS game this year would have been Alabama Oregon.

I think FL st stomped a bunch of not all that good ACC teams to get there and Auburn was lucky but also very good to get there.

I also think Stanford will stomp MSU 23-0 (yes that is how stanford stomps people, the score does not show it but if you watch the game, it is a stomping.)

Fact is the pac12 does its fair share of stomping people just like the SEC.

It is a shame they don’t play each other.

A few years ago, the bullies in the Pac were speed teams USC and Oregon and the rest of the league tried to copy them.

Now the bullies are Stanford and Oregon and the rest of the league is now a speedy physical league like the SEC. If you aren’t physical, Stanford stomps you and if you are not speedy, Oregon will embarass you.

Duke/AM game is very entertaining.

Team with the ball last wins ?

I think only one punt the entire game and that was blocked.

Also, no turnovers and yes a lot of scoring.

You make a good point. FSU has played some mighty good football this year. I hope it is a well-played, clean game and memorable for both teams.
