I’m afraid that for the most part they can’t continue in their old life as the people they know will make them too uncomfortable. They need to establish a new life. But, yes, too many of them start living what they perceive the life of the rich to be. But the real rich work like hell. So, the new rich will need to find something they like and can do. A continuous party will destroy anybody.

Round is a figure... so is oval... or oblong.... or rotund....
I mean, it’s not a figure that I’D prefer, but hey... he’s no Charles Atlas either..
They can ALWAYS play “Slap It And Ride The Wave” ya know...
Just sayin’...
My point was that the windfall winners of lotteries quit their jobs and start blowing money on gambling and hookers or any other distraction to occupy their time. The time is what they now have more of.
While we all think it would be great to not have to go to work every day....but, what are you going to do with your time? 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No-place to be, with the resources to do whatever you want....by yourself. Everybody else...is working.
Better to keep a job, or buy a business then let yourself go idle.
