Just leave them alone. Don’t cut anything right now.
They will come out when it warms up for good in the spring. IF they come out and you’ve got a scheduled freeze you need to cover them up for that night though.
In general though, just leave them be for right now. They’re dormant and sleeping.
When did you plant these out?

I just found those wall chargers with usb ports on it and I will order one of those before I go to bed tonight. This has scared me and I don’t want to try charging those with this computer again.

Do you mean a box that plugs into the wall and has four usb ports on it? Wow, someone should invent something like that, and they could give it a name like "charging station" or something. /s

I didn't know if they actually manufactured something like that because if I needed something like that, I'd sort through the junk pile and build one.
Sure, maybe it would have a power supply that you could arc weld with, but it would safely charge hundreds of USB devices. ;)

...people normally think an 80 yr. old doesn't have a working brain anymore. I beg to differ. Also, I've had a lot of God shots in my life. I would not have survived intact so far without Divine Intervention. I thank the Creator numerous times every day.

I didn't know if they actually manufactured something like that I've seen them at home depot..but I've never seen an arc welder that has a usb port for charging it..Now, that would be something..
Arc Welding brings to mind my gunsmith's mishaps at his house which involved the fire department..on more than one occasion.

Did you take “sten” in high school? I took Pitman as an elective.

I just happen to have a bunch of fairly heavy power supplies in various voltages. ;)
My favorite is an old 12 V power supply that could actually start my motorcycle in place of the battery.
Sure, the lights dimmed when it pulled a load, and it weighs about what I do, but if I every really, really need 12 VDC, I've got it.

I almost did. I took typing and was the only boy in the class.
When I tried to sign up for stenography, the teacher was on to my scam and wouldn't let me.
I always figured that you go to where the potential customers are. ;)

They just look dead. The new growth will come out in the spring on 2cnd year canes. We usually trim ours in the fall.

I usually buy my canning jars at the end of the season when they go on sale. I noticed during Christmas shopping that Walmart and our local grocery stores did still have some in stock.
I am transitioning into more storage in the canning jars vs zip bags. I bought a gizmo that lets me vacuum seal dry foods with the same lids and jars used for water bath canning, or I can use an oxygen absorber.

I grow some of my spices, and the others I ordered in bulk, and packed into mylar bags. Cheaper to make my own mix, though not as convenient.
