right “Fundie” churches drive women to abortion clinics. And those clinics are owned by Catholics probably.

Somebody’s definition of “fundie” is pretty off, sounds like it.

I have no intention of reading the book, or ever taking something like that seriously.

Hey I did not write the book I’m only quoting it. Why are you shooting the messenger? To be fair the book did give accounts from all different types of Christian Churches that one just hit me the most because that woman was the most stupid.

Yes I said stupid. The was sat in the abortion clinic waiting room with her Bible praying to God to be delivered just like “God delivered Issac from Abraham”. She cried to the workers as she held her Bible and said she did not want to do this. She prayed and prayed and prayed but did not get up and walk the hell out of there? Are these women so stupid they “obey” their husband right to an abortion clinic table?

She should have walked out and said F*** you to her husband, her church, and kept her baby and found a new church and a new life.

I can’t believe she was that stupid.

speaking of which you did read this in the article above???

“One study says that many women who have abortions claim to be Christian and that one out of five women coming in is a self-identified born-again or evangelical Christian (1). “

but they are never ever ever Catholic?

Catholics aren’t Christians when they read things like that I guess? I guess that is always a convenient dodge.

There are a lot of people out there who think they are Christian because there are so many “unitarian” and “mathodist” churches that pretend to be Christian.

So I am not sure what your point is.

Look, all, with something like 1 out of 3 women in this country having an abortion by the time she hits menopause, you can be sure there's plenty of guilt to go around amongst Catholics and Fundies, mainline Protestants and Jews, clergy and laity, women and men.

Rather than trying to figure out mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the most azhatted hypocrite of all, we should be standing outside of those clinics with big ol' 3' by 5' posters that say, "God sent me as a sign to you. No, you're not supposed to do this." You could probably save some little papists and fundies from being knifed to death.

Ya know?

When my husband and I became pregnant with our 10 year old, he ran into an old friend picking up Gatorade at the store for his fiancee with morning sickness. I thought if was sweet until she aborted to avoid “ruining” their wedding a few months away. Our daughter is 10; their child never had a chance.

That's as sad as it is sick.

As if children aren't the reason for marriage . . . but just some accident to foul up adult beverage parties or tools to make adults feel fulfilled.

Before the holiness of marriage was utterly destroyed by the state to please the gay, lesbian and gender confused crowd, it was cheapened by the easy divorce crowd who discarded spouses because they didn't meet my emotional needs anymore. Selfish bastards.

>> The article quotes Harrison saying, “I am destroying life.” <<

No. Life is a gift from God. It cannot be destroyed. He will always take it back when that time comes whether through old age, disease, accident or murder.

Even in death Mr. Harrison’s life goes on. Sadly it is likely (for I do not pretend to know the will of God) to be an eternity devoid of the presence of God ... a fate that is too horrible for any true Christian to contemplate.

To any women who have had an abortion, and to all sinners (which is all of us), I simply recommend bowing your head in shame and repent, lest you never know real life through Christ.

This is exactly why I wouldn’t date a leftist. None of my close friends. Heck, I don’t think any of my casual friends are leftists. I could tolerate such inanity and stupidity even in a casual friend.

“As if children aren’t the reason for marriage”

This is true for a great many people! They think it’s the “happily ever after” and that getting married will make things “all better”. A romantic notion of love. Really children are just something costly and a nuisance getting in the way of having fun and enjoying life.
