Riiiight. You wrote a whole big vanity about it but you’re not upset.
They often skip big days, the google doodle general focuses on obscure things, birthdays of oddball inventors, nerdy stuff. So it’s no surprise that they skipped Pearl Harbor Day and D-Day, they’re much more interested in the anniversary of the touchtone telephone.
It’s not a fanatical repulsion, but not everybody in engaged in that religion. You can celebrate the man if you want, nobody is stopping, nobody is bothered by it. I’m not, I’m am not tied to a religion.
Who says that’s what the day is supposed to be for? I don’t. That’s not what the day is for for me, nor my Jewish friends, pagan friends, atheist friends. It’s especially funny to me that this day that’s “supposed to be” for Jesus is completely wrapped in pagan traditions, but you carefully ignore where your decorated tree comes from.
Even the days that are dedicated to Columbus and Washington and Lincoln are not what they were. Some states do not celebrate Columbus day anymore. The presidents are lumped together, so few know that the day is Washington and Lincoln.
You’re right that the day has morphed into something entirely different than what was intended.
