Nanny-staters to the rescue!
I think raw milk is great!
My son had trouble digesting pasteurized cows milk. I nursed him until he was 17 months but then we bought raw cows milk and then raw goats milk. The later was the best. They delivered it fresh to our door.
I grew up on raw milk, butter churned from raw milk, cottage cheese made from raw milk and I’m 69 years old with no medical problems. I’m so sure it was raw because I was the one that milked the family cows twice a day.
Ya, these same “Pediatricians” also advise:
-all pediatric offices to have photos of LGBT “families”
-all boys and girls 11 and up take the HPV vaccine.
-doctors ask now whether you have a gun in the house
-doctors use their “professional judgement” to put you on a list of “mental patients” without your knowledge, in case the state wants to confiscate your guns.
I won’t go into the health benefits of raw milk, anyone can can google it (just ignore everything put out there by the government to get the real story.) Or better yet, read up on how mass produced non-organic dairy farms treat cows, and handle milk by letting bacteria grow, letting it go sour and are lax about sanitary conditions. How are they allowed to do this? Since pasteurization will kill everything, they can have a disgusting production plant, feces infected milk, then its heated, and poof it is “safe” according to the state! Yay! Warning, have a barf bag ready.
This is so bogus. The dairy industry has been after fresh milk farmers for years. The feds invaded an Amish farm with GUNS DRAWN for “selling raw milk across state lines.” Those fascists from Johns Hopkins (hint, Bloomberg went there)think they know how we should live better than we do. Notice the guy doesn’t say “be careful that the farm you are getting the milk from is clean” or give tips to drink it safely. Nope, the “professional” from Johns Hopkins says “it should be banned”.
Our family has been drinking raw milk for years from a local farm up the road from my kids school. They milk their 8 cows twice a day. Sometimes we get there at the right times, and the kids can watch the process. The lady who owns the farm, cleans the teets/udders with iodine before the milk is drawn into a sterile tank with a spout that she dispenses right into the gallon jugs (yes herself). She also makes her own ice cream and yogurt. If she has any leftover milk, she sends it to a local gourmet cheese shop. The state comes to her every month and takes samples for testing, which always come back clear. She loves those cows and talks about them like they are her kids.
Suffice it to say that the lefties in charge are pro-choice only on only one thing, and we all know what that is. They do not want us to have choices on things that could make their cronies an extra buck. Breast milk is “raw” as well are they going to ban that next?

Important note: the AAP is the radical leftist pediatric association. They only care about leftist politics, not children.
The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is the conservative association of pediatricians. They actually care about children.
It is worth it to parents to get a pediatrician who is a member of ACPeds.
When we lived in Virginia and my husband was in the USCG, I slipped down some icy steps and had to have my arm x-rayed.
The doctor at the nearby military base said I had the whitest bones he had ever seen and my wrist was only sprained, thank you Suzie!
Bear in mind that this is the AMA and FDA that has tried to make over the counter vitamin & supplement sales illegal for decades. Your health is not their #1 priority.
if the beasties are tuberculin tested, I say fine. it all depends on the source.
The woman on the farm across the road from ours always kept a milk cow. She claimed it was only because she wanted the cream for her coffee but I think she just liked having one around. She gave us the raw milk. Oh, my, good stuff! I’d put the cream in a canning jar and shake it until it turned to butter.
Whenever you buy a container of cream that’s been frozen at some point and you can’t take the lumps, make butter.
Weston A. Price Foundation ping. I suppose I will be “one of those people” that maintains a ping list for niche subjects.
Homosexual practices should be banned. They spread more disease than raw milk.
Pregnant children?
I am okay with pediatricians giving that advice. When it crosses the line from advice to some thug in uniform telling me that I may not drink raw milk or a Big Gulp, then I have a problem with it. The government has no right to order me around like that, and any such command is illegitimate. We have no moral obligation to obey such directives.
We lived within a half mile of a dairy farm in the 50s and grew up on the stuff. It never hurt us.
When we were milking cows and while the children were small, our vet recommended using a home pasteurizer since we were getting milk from a whole herd, not just one cow.
when he milked his cow it was a like surgical procedure as far as sanitation.
We cleaned ours up well enough to get regular quality bonuses but there was alwas a chance that some ornery cow would kick the milker off into a pile of ... something ... and crud might get into the system.
So we pasteurized. So did my in-laws after my SIL at age 18 months, almost died of bacterial meningitis, possibly from raw milk.
If you aren’t used to it, immune to it, maybe you had better not.
Also IIRC the “enzymes” in raw milk could possibly be spoilage enzymes from bacteria.
YMMV. I know this might not be a popular point of view but I think people need all the facts.
