A United Methodist pastor from central Pennsylvania who was defrocked after officiating his son’s gay wedding was invited by a California Methodist bishop to serve in her region in yet another sign of a split in the nation’s largest mainline Protestant denomination.

Frank Schaefer said he is deciding whether to accept the offer from Bishop Minerva G. Carcano to join the California-Pacific Annual Conference. The region includes California, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands.

“I’m actually leaning toward it right now, but I can’t make that decision myself because it involves my entire family,” Schaefer said. “We are considering it very, very seriously.” …

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is called the unpardonable sin. Blasphemy per se is forgivable:

Anyone with their own teachings other than God's Word is a cult - under any denomination/name they choose to go under. protestantism, catholicsm, mormonism, Islam, buddism- etc. Man has religion, God has HIS WORD.

I have recently begun to try and keep up with my old classmates(Classs of 65). It really was a great class, maybe the best one ever.

I found two who were married. They had been sweethearts since junior high school. He was a fine athlete and she was pretty and had a gorgeous voice. I remember once she and another girl entertained the student body with a song and dance routine. They were flat out good. As good or better than a lot of pros.

When I found them, she had died several years earlier but to my amazement had been a Methodist Minister. I just never would have figured that one. He was a coach at a junior college which sounded about right for him.

I do not understand how they can call themselves Christian, when the Bible is absolutely unambiguous on this issue.

These “ministers” have turned themselves and their flocks over to Molech. Next thing you know, they’ll raise up some Asherah poles.
