I don’t even watch the show but I hang with them on this issue of principal.
And every DD or DC item sold proves me right. DD goes to A&E. DC goes to the Robertsons.

People aren’t “taking a stand”. They’re getting suckered by a masterful marketing scheme. The Robertsons have engineered everything about themselves down to their appearances. They aren’t backwoods rednecks, they’re a brand, and this whole thing is designed to drive up sales for them and A&E. I don’t hold them at fault for doing so. Capitalism is fabulous.

I'd never eaten at a Chick-fil-A before millions of us gathered to show support for its president's right to express his opinions. The Chick-fil-A restaurants I've tried have been much cleaner than Kentucky Fried Chicken places, and the service is better, too.
Cracker Barrel? Nah. Too pretentious, and the salami and cheese selection a relative sent me one year were down in the Kraft league. How surprised am I the chain is siding with the Marxist homosexual faction? Not at all: liars and thieves and killers are all about alike.

This Duck storm, and the Target hack, stories just seem too well timed for me. Like a magician distracting attention from what is going on. Both stories are aimed directly at middle America. My spidy senses are not convinced that what I see is the whole story.

Really? They changed their appearances and lifestyle to support their products. Why not take it a step further? Dan Cathy unwittingly painted a roadmap for anyone who has a conservative customer base to boost sales. Now, everyone has seen how to do it and the imitations will continue. The Robertsons and A&E are simply following the pattern.
and they don’t serve alcohol....I used to travel A LOT, back two years ago, and sometimes had a rider ( until I threatened to kill him). He always wanted to go to Burger King, McD’s, LJS’s, etc. I made him go into bars or restauarants that served alcohol. I explained McD’s and other places he liked hired kids who spit on the hambugers and pissed in the salad because they wanted to show their buddies, or girlfriends, how witty the were. A place with a liquor license hired a better caliber of employee who usually appreciated the job and would never (hopefully) stand the chance of losing the job. Even as stupid as he was, he caught my drift. I NEVER had a drink in these places while were traveling.
I don’t do boycotts because they don’t work. I think Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat. Cracker Barrel has the freedom to sponsor who they desire. Phil had every right to say what he did and he spoke freely.

You are the one who doesn’t get it. I’ve never watched Duck Dynesty and am a bona fide member of the snot-nosed class.
However, I am sick sick sick to death of Christians being pilloried for their beliefs and the self-righteous left demanding to speak and act freely while denying the majority their express rights.
What the man said was his belief and he said it well. I may not particularly hold his viewpoint, but the whole politically correct stasi has gone too far.
I haven’t eaten in a Cracker Barrel for years.
A&E and the Robertsons engineered this together....Show me your proof. A& E ( a not too profitable enter prise in my estimation) lost the only profitable show it probably has for what? A&E is NOT that well watched.
Psssst...It’s the seriousness of the charge (so they’re guilty), not whether or not it’s true. Seems I’ve seen this act before.
