I would always go and get the catfish (but grilled) for breakfast (and the hashbrown casserole...and eggs over easy...and bacon...how am I still alive!) But I won’t anymore. Not until they issue a retraction.
BTW, it’s not about Phil...or Duck Dynasty...It’s about freedom of expression...freedom of religion. You either have them, or you don’t. It might be extreme to suggest this is a pivotal moment when it comes to the First Amendment...but, at some point, in Obama’s America (or will it be Hilary’s or Nancy’s or Harry’s), that moment will present itself. Most FReepers see that day approaching. Some see that day is at hand.
Enjoy the catfish!
It is going to be easy to boycott a store I have never been to nor have any interest in going to anyway.
You’re causing me to bang my head on the table. If you want to take this point of view, perhaps other, more liberal websites, who agree with you, would be more to your liking.
Just sayin.
I haven’t blamed anyone, but I don’t believe for a second that this just happened to come up during the Christmas rush.
Eric, it was your post that struck me as a possible link to the mystery of the attraction to the CRACKER BARREL, "secret of success".. Then I recalled the frequency that I've heard the remarkable claims of their intoxicating flavor of their MEATLOAF.. A light went off in my head!
We've all heard the marketing claims that enticing ingredients, such as SPECIAL, or SECRET SAUCES, that set me off on a journey that revealed an astonishingly EPIC discovery that answers so many questions.. "HOW DID THEY DO THAT? WHATS IN IT?".. Well, I FOUND IT!.. (evil grin).. blush
As a Master Chef, I'm uniquely trained to unlock the ingredients to most complex recipes with a super-sensitive palate.. After hours and hours, and trial and error, I hit upon a most incredible find, it isn't the MEATLOAF, IT'S THE GRAVY, and the hidden secret ingredient is, what I've named;
Antichristdium Glutamate..
Actually, the website isn’t selling any Duck Dynasty items. They only have Duck Commander ATM. Did they pull the A&E Duck Dynasty stuff?
Won’t be difficult to boycott Cracker Barrel; never been to one.
Worst grits EVER and the only place I can get them in (M)assachusetts (I buy and make them myself now). This will be easy.
I never said a pro-gay channel. They’re afraid of the pro-gay backlash and kowtow to 2% of the population.
They hired who they hired knowing who they’d get. They got it, now they don’t want it.
I hope the series walks to another network.
Now, THAT’S FUNNY !
Corporate lawyer types must be busy these days.
He called the waitress back and asked why the meat was blue.
She said “I don't know the food comes here already cooked and frozen and we just heat it up, I don't know what is in it”.
BARF! Mine was awful too.
Soooo...either they found Babe’s herd or they’re serving Smurfs?
I think it was road kill and the car that hit it was blue!
My original thought was that it was a set-up or marketing effort by A&E. After seeing the before and after pics of the Robertson family I’m inclined to think the family is also part of the effort.
It may be ALL of Phil Robertson’s doing. A&E are reacting in a predicable way and there would be NO DOWNSIDE for DD or DC to have his statements made public in the GQ interview.
There aren’t any of them around me so it will be easy to boycott them.
The Cracker Barrel in my area is supporting the Robertson family. I have talked to a friend who works there and she confirmed that the company is standing with Phil, not A&E. Let's be careful who we shoot in this battle!
My mother wasn't that good of a cook. My Dad did most of the cooking in our house, and everything he made was delicious. That of course was back when families still sat down to dinner every night and had a big Sunday dinner. I was the baby of the family and my Dad spoiled me. If I didn't like what was being served, and I got hungry later, he'd make something for me. I learned how to make gravy watching my father, and even though we weren't Italian, he made sauce with meatballs and sausage from scratch every Saturday. I still miss it. My sauce isn't too bad, but it sure isn't my father's.
