That's from Southern migration during the WWII era. You'd be amazed at how many rebel flags are found around there and the number of businesses with Dixie in their name.
Even in obama's territory, the Dixie Trucker's Home is found in McLean, Illinois.
As per Idaho, best guess being the time zone. The western time zone might be off kilter due to different watching habits. Remember when the episode aired it was around 5-6 pm there. Blue spots in Texas and Florida due to the show not being in Spanish.
