It's a darn good thing that kids in the 5th grade aren't easily influenced. The thing that's gonna suffer most due to the climate change issue is everybody's wallet/pocketbook/murse.(see, I'm being inclusive)

It will take a few years but by the time they’re in HS they will realize it was all BS.

Global warming will kill us all, warns Common Core-aligned homework

Yeah, but will it rain this Saturday?

The junk science and regulations from it will kill the economy, which will in turn result in violence and starvation so it is true.

The global warming scam intends to destroy civilization much sooner than a a few centuries.

This is in Colorado, so they will be safe.

Just think surfing on the Platte River (now 100 miles wide and three feet deep)! How cool is that?

It didn't take the implementation of the Common Core curriculum to spread the bogus “sky is falling” global warming bunk. This propaganda has been spreading for years, all the way down to the 1st grade.

The world ended in 1980.

Common core isn’t some brain washing, grooming future democratic voters program teachers tell me.

I don’t believe them for some reason.

It's a darn good thing that kids in the 5th grade aren't easily influenced.

Then they'll have to move introduction of the topic back a few years, maybe to the time they read "Heather has two Mommies."

If you have young children or grandchildren you will see how the media maintains powerful influence over our culture.

There are often blatant environmentalist messages in programming for kids, which are otherwise cute shows that are age appropriate with concepts. I am sure they have started with pro-gay messaging, but I have not noticed it yet with shows for youngsters and we are going to skip the pre-teen drama shows because we don’t approve of the messaging - too much angst.

We already know that public education will promote the liberal agenda and that is why we homeschool.

Same thing is true for any kind of nature show and even some history programming on those channels. A few weeks ago I was watching part of a nature show on Discovery that was filmed about 10 years ago and they said with certainty that glaciers in the Arctic were disappearing. False, but for people who don’t pay attention it’s effective. It’s repeated constantly on nature programming.

So, were the kids told it was a science fiction story? No? I didn’t think so.

I think it is time to put up or shut up. We should have several nations propose legislation that they would collectively join together under a UN effort, to inject via spacecraft small reflective particles into the earth's upper atmosphere. Those particles would increase the amount of solar radiation that is reflected away from the earth's surface. That would cool the planet and hence counteract global warming and save us from destruction. Or if the global warming folks are wrong, it could bring about the next ice age and mass starvation on the planet.

But hey, it would resolve things. However, the tree-huggers would never go for a “man-made” solution that didn't involve suffering and giving up modern lifestyle. So they will oppose it. It would make for interesting teledrama to have Al Gore say we need to keep the earth from warming, but we can't do it “that way” we need to do it in a way that will make people suffer and change our economic system.

*will destroy civilization in a few hundred years*

I thought AL gore said it would destroy us by 1999...

If we are stupid enough to believe the scam and let the politicians tax us into the dark ages ($700 TRILION), then I don’t think civilization has more than 2 or 3 decades.
