Maybe you’ve heard about the “bullet fee” that was supposedly charged to the families of prisoners executed by gunfire. The fee, which is almost certainly an urban legend, has been attributed at various times to Bolshevik revolutionaries and the governments of Iran and China.
But even if the bullet fee is mythical, there is a very real price to be paid when a society becomes intoxicated by gunplay. What price have we paid for the bullets fired at Newtown and in the year since that tragedy?

The armed criminal roams freely with the all but certain knowledge that no one else is armed. Feeling empowered with that knowledge allows them to act on almost any whim.

I used to carry open carry right here in Ohio i would walk right into stores and shops with no qualms about carrying a gun and never had a problem with police or thugs i used to drive around with a loaded shotgun and rifle both in my truck nary a word was said to me or about it from anyone ...
But due to the hysteria media has created over guns it’s not safe to open carry or you’ll get arrested detained or questioned for hours on end about your intentions of what your going to use the gun for they tell you your not allowed to carry a loaded shotgun or rifle in your truck anymore because “ Someone might steal them “ and yet they tell you as well you cant carry your shotgun concealed either !
All of this has been created by a frenzied media and perpetuated by still even more folks who are more scared of their temper than they are the gun “ liberals “ Because face it liberals are the childlike creatures of this planet throwing a tantrum over anything if they think it will benefit them or the cause they believe everyone should follow !

None of the current gun laws stopped them. Gun laws are to harass gun owners and not stop criminals with guns.
You could pull the word gun out of the article, insert entitlements and or liberalism then multiply the cost listed a 100 fold and the effects on children are 10s of thousands of times worse.
Regardless of the price of the misuse of firearms, the author has no legal right to interfere with our fundamental, God-given, constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms. Fortunately, because we are armed, he and his corrupt liberal allies in government also lack the power to disarm us. If the author had integrity (he doesn't), he would at least consider the benefits to society of the positive uses of firearms by the armed citizenry. That balancing of costs and benefits would lead to exactly the opposite conclusion from the one he wants to impose on us, so he won't mention the rest of the story.
