Cowboys Management Comments On Dez Leaving Game Early

It’s no doubt that Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is a fierce competitor on the field, but his emotions got the best of him before the end of the game Sunday night against the Packers – forcing him to abandon his teammates on the sidelines and leave the game with minutes to spare.

Following a 4th quarter interception ruling, giving Green Bay the ball and ultimately the victory, Bryant left the bench and headed back to the locker room – according to Bryant, to cry.

“I was very emotional. I cried when I got into the locker room.” Bryant said Monday during a visit to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Obviously he was frustrated, as a lot of us were.” said Cowboys COO Stephen Jones. “It wasn’t a good decision on his part, I think he was the first to admit it. He let the heat of the moment and the emotion of the game get to him.”

So much for "professional" football.

Hey, it's a damned game, for which you get paid to play.

Sheesh!

It’s not a matter of taking one over the other. You don’t walk off the field
and abandon your teammates, unless you are physically injured, not mentally injured. Does Bryant think he is the only one frustrated?
He should be heavily fined by the NFL.

Amen, but Garrett gave the nod for terrible offensive play calling in the clinch that mismanaged the clock.

Aye. But the Owner/GM hired him, too.

And, frustration or not, this is his job. This is what he does for a living. Imagine if you walk out on your work colleagues because of some disappointment or tough day at work. How would that go over with them and your bosses????

Jerry Jones needs to hire a GM, and let his GM run the football operations. Jerry Jones is an egotistical man who owns a team. He meddles and doesn’t know football. He needs a football man as GM, let the GM hire and fire coaches and players. Stay in the background and let experienced football men run the team.

Jason Garrett threw Romo under the bus after the game by saying that Romo changed the play from a run to a pass prior to the first interception. If true, that was a poor decision, but Jason Garrett is to blame for the fact that they did not run the ball more in the second half. Since the running game was so successful in the first half and they had a big lead, that is what they should have done in the second half. That was Dallas Cowboy football in the “good old days” - get a lead in the first half and eat up the clock in the second half.

This guy was a punk during his OSU days, and he’s still a punk today. His ego rivals that of Jerry Jones.

Yep. The wheels are off now. Watch them lose out the remainder of the season. Pathetic.
