From personal experience I know that this doctor doesn’t know what he is talking about. I exercise regular and extensively by means of aerobics as well as lifting weights on a daily basis and my body looks and can confirms what I am saying and by now I am heading towards eighty.

Some time ago the corners of my mouth started to crack what was rather painful and it just so happened I went to my physician for a flu shot and at the same time I questioned him about the cracked corners of my mouth. He prescribed an ointment by the name of Nizoral as he thought that it was yeast which all of us have to a certain extent in our saliva what kept it from healing but never addressed the cause.

Well it did very little to say the least. After this I done my own research and found that heavy exercise along with consumption of alcohol (I like my Martini’s) can cause this problem. I have been taking vitamins all along but it was suggested that in this case I should increase my intake of vitamin B-2 Riboflavin, because heavy exercise as well as consumption of alcohol will deplete B-2 very rapidly.

I took a quarter TSP of B-2 for three days and the cracked corners of my mouth were gone. As we get older our stomachs absorb less and less of what the human body needs, and if we eat in order to get all the nutrients we would need we would look like a blimp and this is where most of the auxiliary vitamins come in which we can not get from the food we eat.

When it comes to the statement the doctor made about Vitamins, even so he may be smart in others things, I believe he should apply for a refund on his studies as there always has been and will be a place for vitamins, even so the pharmaceutical can not make much money on it. Turmeric, even so it is not a vitamin so to speak of is a good example, with so many benefits it would take more than a page.

To add to your list: Cinnamon lowers cholesterol, ginger helps alleviate Arthritic pain. Cranberry capsules are great for bladder infections. There are so many natural things that we can do to address the ravages of aging. I see my family doc. twice a year. He asks how I’m doing. I say I’m doing great. We pray together and I tell him I will see him in 6 months.
