If you have half decent diet, the most you need is a multi. The mistake people make is to think that if a little is good than more must be better.
It’s not the single multi that is a waste of money, but the single pill per vitamin and mineral that is the problem.
Anything more than the body actually uses just gets pissed away.
Here’s my problem with vitamins. The dosage. It’s too general.
Label says take one a day. Fine. Does this mean that a 100lb person takes the same dosage as a 300lb person? Should the 300lb take 3 pills or should the 100lbs take half a pill?
Meanwhile, when I give vitamins or supplements to my dog, it is done by weight. No room for guesswork.
I agree for the most part, but the single-vitamin pills are useful for some medical conditions. My doctor advised me to take B12 supplements because of a deficiency and it has improved my overall health.
Same with beer, are you opposed to that for the same reason?
