My fathers birth certificate said Nov 11 but his mother insisted he was born on the 10th. His solution was to celebrate both days. Why didn't I think of that before?
When my family immigrated in 1947 my birthday was in January.
When it was time to collect Social Security 58 years later, all official records were lost and after obtaining another official copy, my birthdate was in February.
I like the idea of celebrating both of them!

“I wonder if Mr. Steyn would consider a gig with P.J. O Rourke.”
Now that is something I would pay good money to see.

It's an epic motion picture that simply must be viewed on the Big Screen in a classic movie theater
That's how I first saw it ... in summer ... and the theater must have had the A/C cranked down to 50 degrees.
I'll never forget it for that reason, plus, my father took the whole family to see it and there were six (six!) kids.
A wonderful family memory that has endured for 50 years.

I used to watch My Favourite Year over and over again on cable in the 80s as a teen. Lovely, funny film. Introduced to Nat King Cole’s Stardust through that movie, too.

Going to watch “ My Favorite Year” tonight.
Peter you were the greatest of movie stars. RIP.

I’m not recognizing that by name. Will have to look up title on You Tube. Will probably remember it from movie once I hear it.

To: beaversmom
“Stardust” segued into “How High The Moon” right at the beginning of the movie.
