Lol. I knew it was. But it was still about the best T-Bucket I’ve ever seen. You must admit, though, it kind of looks like a real car. :)

By "old school" I guess I meant in comparison to this modern junk below.

As far as “new school” goes, I do like some of the low riders, at least in certain ways. They share many of the same customization ideas as the old-school rods and customs. Similar paint jobs, interiors, chrome, etc.

Thanks. Maybe I will try to start a ping list for these types of threads

Sorry, I have no idea. I hate most imports. And nearly every American car built from the 80s up.

Wow, did you get to ride in it? I love that car, and also that song and many other Beach Boy tunes.

I suppose that’s cool in its own way. But I wouldn’t lump in it with the type of cars shown above.

Don’t get me wrong. I’ve always loved the VW Bug, even the new ones. It’s one of the few retro cars I like. The new Mustang also. The new Challenger and Camaro I’m not too crazy about. IMO, the new Challenger is too “stocky”. The original was lower and sleeker.

Oh, thanks for the link to buy the car. It's without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, T-Buckets I've ever seen, toy or not.

It is a good looking T-Bucket. In my internet search, I saw the same model in burgundy, green, white, and black, with white or black top, and with top down.

Thanks. Nice finds. I like it best in burgundy with black top. White top looks good too. The green is very nice as well.

I never really realized how large the new Challenger was until I parked beside one in my wife’s ‘68 Mustang. Wow. Not that I would not love to have the Challenger STR8.
Add me to the ping list if you start one.

As for the new and old (original) Challengers...

The elNomado, built by Joe Cherry. He owns a garage down the road from Orange County Choppers. He did a disc brake conversion on my 64 Chevy and other mechanical work. He started out with 2 58 Chevys, a Nomad wagon and a 2-door Biscayne. The workmanship on this rod was so impressive one of the top execs at GM remarked that GM should have built this car, this would've been what a 58 elCamino would look like.

Wow, that is some car. And some impressive workmanship. Have you ever seen the ‘53 or ‘54 “Corvette Nomad”?
BTW: I live in NY too. In New York City. My brother lives in Upstate NY, near Middletown.

Know the area very well. I lived down the road in Pt. Jervis. I’ve seen pics of the 54 Nomad, they displayed it at the Motorama shows back then. I understand it was discovered in a junkyard near Flint, MI some years back and is undergoing a restoration.
