LED lighting can be anything not just bulbs. We see them as bulbs because we use them as replacements for standard bulbs in standard fixtures but you can have entire LED ceilings, walls, floors, stairs or whatever.

They can be controlled by computer to change color temperature at will, come on when you take a step or walk in a room, they can be put almost anywhere because heat is not a factor. LED lighting can be run on low voltage circuits or batteries.

LED lighting is going to change how we think about lighting.

Maybe I’m confusing LED lights with something else, but there’s a certain type of car headlight that is bluish-white and extremely bright, and I think they are blinding to oncoming drivers and very dangerous. I had some Christmas tree lights with that same blinding bluish white light, and threw them away. They had no softness at all and just didn’t look right on a Christmas tree. But I love LEDs on flashlights because what I want with a flashlight is brilliant, short-term illumination, not an easy-on-the-eyes, comfortable cozy effect like I want with regular lamp light bulbs.
