Nick Saban is still Alabama's coach.
Saban, who has won three of college football's last four national championships and was already the sport's highest-paid coach, has agreed to a contract extension at Alabama, the university said Friday night. In a statement, Alabama said the deal is a "long-term agreement" pending board approval.

Go War Eagles!
Bama fans don’t forget to set your clocks back one second this weekend for Daylight Saban Time.
"Hey Nick, you got a second? I want to run something by you."
I didn’t think he would quit before getting revenge on auburn.
I think that run back play was selected as the college football play of the year.
George W. Bush (#43) Sends Note Encouraging Alabama Kicker Cade Foster (#43)
The play of the year was the Georgia defenders keeping a poorly thrown Hail Mary pass alive for an Auburn TD. The field goal return was the culmination of Alabama making way too many mistakes against a team that wanted to win more than Bama did. I am a life long Tide Fan and that hasn’t changed. My daughter and son and their spouses are all Auburn Alumni. My five grandkids will probably be Auburn Alum someday,(if we still have Universities when they grow up). I have always pulled for Auburn when they weren’t playing Bama. I’ll be supporting the Tide in the Sugar Bowl and the Tigers in the BCS Championship. Roll Tide and War Damn Eagle.
The Crystal Ball
At least Bama won’t be preseaon #1 next year. USC in 2004 was the last team to be preseason #1 then win the Championship. It sux to be preseason #1 and always has.
I hope they’ll be updating that sign with another AU for 2013.
War Eagle!
The Fuhrer’s generals,I mean, assistant coaches let him down!

Poorly thrown? A 60 yd pass that comes down a foot from the receiver is not poorly thrown. But the defenders did make a mental mistake. Never try to intercept a pass on 4th down. The receiver made a good play by continuing to run, get behind the defenders and look for the ball. As a famous golfer once said, the more I practice, the luckier I get.
And that was the best play of the year until the Iron Bowl.
Poorly thrown because it was right to the defenders. They only had to bat it down not tip it up. The receiver did a remarkable job. I was a wide receiver and doubled as a free safety. As a defender on 4th down deep bat the damn ball to the ground. The win against Georgia was destiny. The win against Bama was just Auburn playing better than Bama.
It's a Hail Mary pass. That's the way they work. The defenders get to play center field.
The receiver was a foot away, in stride, and it was a 60 yard pass. It was not poorly thrown.
I won’t argue with you. I’ll say poorly defended pass instead. The point I should have made was, if the excellent pass placed right behind the receiver where the hapless defenders were had been batted down like any idiot pee wee league defender knows to do on 4th down, Auburn loses. Had the field goal have missed but sailed out the back, Auburn would have beaten Bama in overtime. I’m a Bama fan first and an Auburn Fan second. I hate Georgia. Auburn beat Georgia with luck. Auburn beat Bama with skill.
But, A.J. won’t be the field general. With any luck at all he will be in Jacksonville.
Respectfully, that would be "Go Tigers!" "War Eagle!" is simply a battle cry.
