Hot fusion works. It's scientifically understood and useful.
Electrochemical cold fusion is nothing but entertainment for kooks and cranks.
My goodness, that’s beautiful. No one has posted a hydrogen bomb on a LENR thread as an example of controlled hot fusion for a long time. Because of how incredibly stupid it reveals you to be.
I think this is the last time someone was dense enough to do it:

Sure, you can release that much energy. But can you control it, harness it? 60 years and $600 Billion later, the answer is NO. Not only no, but Hell No.
Wow, what an amazing display of ignorance.
Hey Mastador1, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH! Get some maturity
remember that part where it was said you just cant let it go? look in the mirror, its you.
Night night I dont play with broken toys.
***What does that even mean? My goodness, are you too ashamed to defend your stated position? Run out of scientific facts to rely upon?
"Belief and passion" have precisely nothing to do with my position. I am focused SOLELY on the experimental scientific data and nothing else. Said data shows that LENR is completely real and worthy of much more intense research. Research which is not and has not been adequately funded (despite the fact that every in-depth review of the science has recommended funding, including those done by EPRI and DOE).
Editor-Surveyor says that $600 BILLION dollars has been spent on hot fusion research. I doubt that $60 million has been spent on LENR research, which already shows more promise toward delivering a practical result than any of the approaches to "hot fusion".
Your every comment thus far on this thread fits into the "pathological" category. The "until I can...flip a switch....boil my teakettle.....power my house" type comment is always the end point of the skeptopath argument. It gets repeated so often that it would be funny if not so sad.
"And should such a day come I will on my honor offer you the most heartfelt public apology that I can."
Let's just say that "I'm a skeptic" on this point.
The government spends lots of money on things that can potentially be used as weapons. Apparently we’re supposed to forget that and believe all the money spent on hot fusion research was all about power generation.
Also, hot fusion scientists aren’t making false claims about sustainably producing more energy than they put in. The cold fusion crackpots have been making fantastic claims about energy production for decades, yet they have nothing to show for it.
The National Ignition Facility uses laser compression and it is quite successful at executing its mission.
Why does cold fusion need all that money for research? With all the fantastic claims of success it should be ready to go to market.
Had it been anything but a costly boondoggle, we would now be using our online fusion reactors.
The entire project never proved anything not already established by the late Kip M Segal. It was Nucol’s big ego party from start to finish. He was embarrassed by Segal’s low-dollar success. That is why he shut him down.
Apparently were supposed to forget that and believe all the money spent on hot fusion research was all about power generation.
***However much money was spent on the controlled hot fusion boondoggle, it has given us nothing. Yet we hear ‘skeptics’ loudly proclaiming that LENR research is useless and should be shut down. Such ‘skeptics’ never loudly proclaim that the hot fusion research was a scam. It’s just the standard skeptopath vigilante censorship in action.
Also, hot fusion scientists arent making false claims about sustainably producing more energy than they put in.
***Because they can’t. Feel free to post where such “false claims” are being made by cold fusion scientists. After all the trolling you’ve done on these threads, such a task should be easy. And you should have done it long ago.
But you won’t. Because you can’t.
With all the fantastic claims of success it should be ready to go to market.
***With all the fantastic money we’ve spent on controlled hot fusion, it should have been in the market for a decade.

quite successful at executing its mission.
***Then where are our hot-fusion powered cars? We spend $billions on a mission that doesn’t even include breakeven technology. What a waste. Cold Fusion is 14 orders of magnitude better bang for the buck.

Perhaps you should open a thread to see drill down on this development.
That’s actually a good catch. For the first time on one of these threads I find you to be a true skeptic. I don’t see Miley retracting the claim, just backtracking and weaseling. I agree that it’s a false claim.
Of course, in LENR, the only time we’ve seen a verified fraud was from MIT when they fraudulently changed their results that were actually positive. A report by Dr. Eugene Mallove explains how MIT falsified tests of Pons and Fleishmann back in 1989 in order to squash cold fusion. They wanted to maintain their lucrative hot fusion research grants. This fraud by MIT is partly responsible for setting back cold fusion research over the past 20 years.

If you can't support the claim that we've gotten nothing out of hot fusion reseach, you're no less "skeptopathic" about that than the people you're accusing of being "skeptopaths" about LENR.

***The lack of that hot-fusion powered car in your back yard. It feels so refreshing to use the skeptopaths’ arguments against themselves, even if they are horse manure.
If you can’t support the claim that we’ve gotten nothing out of hot fusion reseach,
***What a ridiculous hypothetical. Of course I’ve gotten nothing out of controlled hot fusion research. That means WE’ve gotten nothing. Where is YOUR hot fusion car?

***You really have gone off the loopy end in these past few days. Lurkers can look through your posting history to reveal a.... simple troll.
