Yeh, I’ve seen that done a few times now. Very cool. Could teach us a lot about structural integrity.

Why waste the aluminum? Old southern solution;
Get regular (not instant) grits right out of the box. Sprinkle it around the mound. Do not sprinkle it on the mound. The workers come out and find all of this new wonderful food and take it down for the drones and queen.
So when they add the water in their systems, they just blow up, the mound is now dead.
BTW, this works for all types of ants.

Good grief, it’s $2550.
Hubby’s seriously thinking of an income source!

Those who have encountered fire ants wish that there would be many more of the casts made

There are way easier ways to kill fire ants. But none nearly as geeky cool. Or as profitable!
Dead fire ants == $2500 right now.

Got plenty of mounds, will give that a try.

Of course they were. Did you notice them pushing out of the mound during the pouring of the lead?
They bought it on themselves by being in a humanly populated area.

You ladies have got to watch this & see the finished product. And then the ebay posting. We may have found another source of income!

The only good fire ant is a dead fire ant.
