Obamas Photo Drama at Mandela Memorial

The Internet is buzzing over a sequence of photos that appear to show First Lady Michelle Obama having a snit over her husband President Barack Obama having fun with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt as they sat at the Nelson Mandela memorial in South Africa today.
The sequence seems to have started with Obama, Thorning-Schmidt and British Prime Minister David Cameron posing for a 'selfie', followed by Obama touching Thorning-Schmidt on her shoulder, then a glaring Michelle Obama, ending up in Barack and Michelle switching seats so that she is now sitting next to Thorning-Schmidt.

Look at the row directly behind the O’s: Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder. OK, maybe Rice should be there as UN Ambassador but, come on - just another high-priced vacation subsidized by the US taxpayers.Contrast this treatment with that received by Margaret Thatcher at her passing.
Yes, but personally I am more than happy that these uncouth persons stayed away from the solemn funeral of Lady Thatcher.

The British newspapers are wondering what Cameron was doing. Is this the right time for a “selfie” asks Daily Mail. The conservative Daily Telegraph wonders why Cameron and Obama felt the need to behave like idiots. The Guardian (of course) noted that it was in the spirit of celebrating, rather than mourning, Mandela.
The Danish papers are commenting on the fact that several news outlets didn't recognize the Danish PM. But the big news in Denmark is that soon after the picture was taken Ms Helle-Schmidt was informed her minister of justice resigned today.
