The barrier to cooking is not intelligence,
it’s lack of “want to”.
Oh, no doubt.
It’s easier to complain about the lack of convenience foods or eating out than it is to just buy a hunk of broccoli and steam it.
My hubby makes a meal of steamed broccoli w. cheese sometimes. He loves it. He’s the one who taught me to steam it. I’d never steamed veg before, only stir fried with a bit of oil.
