WASHINGTON (AP) — Feeling chilly? Here's cold comfort: You could be in East Antarctica which new data says set a record for "soul-crushing" cold.

Try 135.8 degrees Fahrenheit below zero; that's 93.2 degrees below zero Celsius, which sounds only slightly toastier. Better yet, don't try it. That's so cold scientists say it hurts to breathe.

Just because one spot on Earth has set records for cold heat that has little to do with global warming because it is one spot in one place, said Waleed Abdalati, an ice scientist at the University of Colorado and NASA's former chief scientist. people with brains enough to see through your BS.

He’s correct that it indicates that its cold in Antarctica but that’s not a surprise. The problem is all the record cold in all the other places around the world.

Those records don’t mean much in regard to planetary warming or cooling either.

Quite frankly I don’t think there is much of anything going on weatherwise. 2 years ago we didn’t even have any winter to speak of. Last winter was fairly mild and this winter is a SOB right now but next month might be different.

Air masses and weather patterns move around.

I completely agree. My in laws do the same thing but they do watch our two boys when we go out of town for awhile and if you’re 70 and can take our boys for a week more power to ya travel the world waste your money on gardeners and try and teach us any cheapo lesson ya want

My folks are extremely generous with money on the other hand and don’t care about travel and live on a farm with 40 alpacas

It takes all types for sure. Both have been married 50 yrs or so

LOL just tell them that they will want to keep some of that money back to pay for their nursing home or health care when they can no longer get around.

As for algore, stick him in a deep freeze and turn it down to -460 F (-273 C) and leave his @$$ there for a couple years.

As for global warming, tell it to the folks in the upper midwest. And after algore thaws after his two years at COLD, let him go and warm ‘em up.

algore is a typical LEFTIST POS, in it for the money, and for the CONTROL!

All the ice is dry in Antarctica. It’s the driest place on earth.

But seriously you have a good point. The freezing point of carbon dioxide is -108. I doubt if there will be any substantial condensation of dry ice, if only because there is so terribly brutal carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to begin with.

And thanks for pointing that out I didn’t catch it myself.

Oh, ummm... I was actually thinking about the part where Luke was stranded outside and had to be placed in the cut-open packanimal to survive.

So are mrs bill's lips and Barky's ears, but no one should ever mistake one for the other.
