An eyewitness said: "He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime, and it was pointless buying any more. She started shouting at him, accusing him of being a skinflint, and of spoiling Christmas. It was a really heated argument."
The argument continued until Hsiao threw the bags on the floor and himself over the balcony, dropping seven stories to his death and smashing Christmas decorations on the way down.

how hard is it to get out of an engagement in China?
I’ll Hsiao you...
But did she get the shoes?
He should have thrown her off the balcony. He’s a young man and be out in plenty of time to have a wonderful life with out her.
There are not alot of women. I think it is aleast 2 men to 1 woman.
Remember they abort females in China, everyone wants a SON.
#1 Son
Another “Christmas joke”?
Mall shopping for dummies. When she walks forwards into the store, walk backwards to Barnes and Noble, don your disguise and get behind a big book. If you escape detection for the first hour, there’s a good chance she’ll spend her own money. When your spotting scope detects her hands full of bags, appear and your answer to all her interrogations is “It’s a surprise.” ;)
he knew the chance of a trade up was slim
Me too.
China will face a growing number of young men who will never marry due to the countrys one-child policy, which has resulted in a reported birth ratio of almost 120 boys for every 100 girls
By 2030, projections suggest that more than 25% of Chinese men in their late 30s will never have married. The coming marriage squeeze will likely be even more acute in the Chinese countryside, since the poor, uneducated and rural population will be more likely to lose out in the competition for brides.
Can you even begin to comprehend living in a society where 1 in every 4 adult men you meet will have never married, and not by choice? How could this change the social and cultural dynamics of China?
You could just throw yourself down on the floor and act dead.
That's one way to break a heel ping.
Was he still holding her purse when he leapt to his death?
Yes, but I would still actually be there.
What an unfortunate sole.
clicked on the breitbart story and got a pop up ad for zappos shoes! LOL or totally tasteless? you make the call
I hate shopping, but that’s going too far.
It wasn’t the shoes. It was the previous 8 hours of looking at shoes that sent him over the edge.
Once I was alone with a TV and a movie called “Under the Tuscan Sun” came on, I became desperate to escape it, yet too mesmerized to get up and turn it off, I was looking for something within reach to kill myself with when a ringing phone finally broke me out of that out of body experience, and I managed to turn it off.
