I don’t understand why that answer is not easy.
A simple “NO” anytime someone is offended by (fill-in-the-blank).

“take down that American flag”

“take down those ten commandments”
“uh, no”

“stop praying to Jesus”
“uh, no”

“Uh” indicates an even momentary hesitation, for which is utterly unnecessary.
