Good Question. I worked in a lumberyard for 7 years. It was a decent job but at 51 years old it started to take a toll on my body. Was told I was going to be there as long as I worked there. I gambled. It was dangerous these days what with the way things are. I had a few side jobs which kept and soul together.
Yes, it was foolish....took a terrible risk. Almost lost the faith. But in the end the Good Lord took a liking to me. That and constant looking and a lot of waiting.

God is good.

Yes, I am 57 and I can see how I may have had to step down from a physically challenging job almost 6 years ago myself if I had one.

I am employed in a technical field however that allows me plenty of butt time, mixed in with just enough standing and walking to keep from getting fat and lazy with hemorrhoids.

It’s OK, UI have been blessed to have my home paid off before the leftist created recession hit, and I have no debt other than the cord of wood I paid for on a credit card just to keep my credit active.

In California, that’s a tough thing to do, but as He is with you, God is gracious and has blessed me more than I deserve.

Again, congrats on your new job my FRiend.

LOL
