The "poor sleep" group scored significantly higher in levels of stress, depression, and anxiety compared to those that slept longer. This may be confusing cause and effect. How many blues songs have been written about not being able to sleep cause you miss your baby so bad.

Great article, thanks for posting it. I don’t get enough sleep and am taking special note of 2 and 3 on the list.
I’ve had a theory that for n hours of sleep missed, there is a “felt need” to consume a certain amount of excess calories the next day to make up for lost energy. It now appears from the study that n has a value of about 140 calories for every hour of sleep lost.

I’m too tired to think about that. I’m just trying to stay awake because I think the neighbor lady is going to call and try to seduce me tonight. The odds have to be getting better since she hasn’t called before.

I’m a left-side sleeper and it seems every 30 minutes or so my hip starts aching and I have to flip over.
This goes on all night.
I get horrible sleep and it’s really starting to affect me lately.
