Peggy Taylor was a Dallas Talent Agent (Mine & Don's but she made much more off him than me--) where I was the 'Talent Coordinator' and chief gofer/bottle washer/etc. Peggy was also a great makeup artists. She always did Don's makeup when it was needed and I occasionally went with her. Hence, Don saw me on this makeup occasion, when he came into Peggy's office and other times when we ended up in the same bars along Greenville Avenue and other sorted Dallas nite life drinkerys.

And, I have to admit, he did better on those bars... than I did, too!

Don Meredith was a smoker,

Russel Wilson claims he saw Jesus even if in a dream, so Russ is a good role model.

Re: Hey Bender I saw your co star Lee Marvin on Movies tv network other night the movie with Clint Eastwood Don’t tell me you mess with Clint during that filming

Well, Seven, I had no problem with Lee, he was a drinking buddy... Clint, however, was another whole 'nother kettle of fish--

Not many folks know that the original screenplay for Paint Your Wagon was about "three" miners... that were married to Elizabeth--

However, when Jean Seberg fell in love with me because of my fabulous acting... and Broadway caliber singing, the green eyed monster came alive in Clint.

He had me banned from the set and the script re-written to exclude my character... Therefore, the film was a box office bomb when it came out.

Yet Clint apologized to me about a year later... and all is jake between us now.

Sorry to interupt the NFL thread.

Can someone tell me WTH the NYY are doing? Carlos Beltran? Are they planning on starting a 4 or 5 man outfield?

Their signings make 0 sense, to me at least.

When you look at Mike Tomlin’s charade and Kubiak and Fox’s problem, I think that really points to the pressures on managers. That’s 3 out of the 32 NFL coaches here in the span of about a month’s time.

You can hardly blame Jean for falling for you.

After all, she’s only mortal.

Perhaps the pressure of exceptions was too much for Schaub? Gary Kubiak fired, overdue. Wade Phillips left in charge, bad idea.

The media seems to like the Yankees moves.

Big sports day for the state of Washington, Seattle gives a huge 10 year deal to Robinson Cano (is everyone pronouncing his name wrong?). He’s 31.

And the WA Huskies lure Boise State Head Coach Chris Peterson.

I don't have a clue. What's obvious is they wanted nothing to do with Cano. Maybe it's the Jay Z association, or that Cano is very friendly with A Rod and several other admitted PED users.

Now they have 5 OF..possibly they get Soirano to DH.then Bret Gardner can play when Ellsbury goes down..which will be often. See, problem solved..

Re: You can hardly blame Jean for falling for you. After all, she’s-- She's-- She is... only mortal.

Now, Pax... we've discussed this--

I cannot be faithful... to any one woman.

It is just not... in my programming!

Give it a rest, Bend. I tried that with Monica... and it didn't work worth a damn!

Yeah, Bendy, it never worked for me... and I was gay!

Well, Bill, Rock, you guys had a handicap. You... were merely men--

Pax, we have a support group for us gals who wanted Bendy... to be faithful and lost--

We meet at midnight every Wednesday... at Jerry World.

Get there early... to make sure you get a seat!

Just a hint but if you wear black lingerie... the venders give you a discount on soft drinks and nachos--

And, Pax, make sure you wash up before going. They got... this thing about not smelling!

World Cup draw, US craps out, gets group G with Germany, Portugal, and Ghana (which beat US the last 2 World Cups).

Italy is in group D with Costa Rica, England, and Uruguay.

I don’t think the group is so bad.

Portugal is a one-man team, and Ronaldo hasn’t exactly lit it up in his previous World Cups. Remember we beat Portugal in 2002.

Germany will be tough, but having Klinsi, who knows their system inside and out, could give us an edge to at least snare a tie in the one.

And Ghana will be tough but not impossible.....Maybe 1-1-1 will be good enough to get through, we’ll see.

I hope so.

If we can advance as runner up we play winner of group H, Belgium, Algeria, Russia and South Korea. Probably Belgium?

Real Salt Lake and KC starting soon, I will say Sporting KC wins. If there is a dedicated thread, let us know!
