There was a sci-fi show called Surface I really thought was interesting that was cancelled way too soon in my opinion, and another called Threshold that I also liked a lot.

Dresden was just getting good when they yanked it... I actually wrote a few letters protesting that one.

Jim Butcher had enough books to keep that series alive for at least two full seasons more.

And yeah, the books are better. They always are. But it’s still nice to see it on the screen.

Oh, the Shepherd had a backstory as long as your arm. We just never got to see what it was.

Any continuation of the series would have to talk about what became of River Tam, though.

Ditto on “Fringe” and I’d like to add “Dead Like Me” - perhaps the best cable show ever cancelled.

**** Sarah Conner would run around complaining nobody would believe her about the robots from the future, but every time she would kill one, she would destroy all evidence of it***

Remember THE INVADERS from around 1968-69? Every time Roy Thinnes killed one it immediately decomposed into cellulose fibers. You spotted an alien because they could not replicate properly the small finger on the hand.

I remember one episode in which Thinnes is trying to kill a beautiful girl as he believes she is an alien. Come to find out, her hand had been deformed in an accident.

Jayne: “Dear diary: Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Today we were kidnapped by hill folk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever.”

10. SGU Stargate Universe

WE were fans of all those before that mess. Trying to push homosexual issues while having a cast of characters that each and every one had significant dislikeable traits made it a short run with us.

Spome of these were indeed cancelled too soon.

Others had simply run their course.

My favorites on the list (both types included): Jericho, Terra Nova, Sarah Connor, Star Gate Universe, V, and Caprica.

"The Lost Room is (IMO) the best thing that Scfi Channel did. The thought that had to go into following along was worth the price of admission."

The Lost Room was cool. Particularly the guy who gouged out his eye and replaced it with the fake eyeball item that had the special power. Now that's a lust power!

Not sure about the others but I tried to watch a couple episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. Found it very boring and was not surprised when it got the axe. That being said, the reruns of Next Generation showing on BBC America also leave me snoring now. And I enjoyed that show when it was originally being run in the 80's and early 90's.

"I’d like to see a series set in the future about the certain global economic collapse that leftist policies will bring about. It’ll have it all—kooks with nukes, wierd science, gender-bending madness, hybrid monstrocities, jihadis gone wild—all set in an Escape from NY backdrop."

But you just know that all of the failures of that future dystopia would be blamed either on Republicans, Bush, Reagan, conservatives, Christians or white conservative Christians. Failing all of that - Hitler would be the last resort. Then of course there's always the evil twins -- the nuclear power industry or the oil companies which can be blamed for every social ill since the beginning of time.

‘Zactly.
It felt as if the writers were borrowed from a soap opera.
