Thanks Joe. I think this one is really, really great, on a par with Patriot’s History of the US. Volume 1 was necessarily dark-—hard to be lighthearted about two world wars and the depression. But this goes from cars to fashion to music.

Not a terrible review from the biased PW. I think the book is darned entertaining. We include the car culture, rock music, the rise and mythology of Gandhi, and I think the BEST chapter on the Reagan era you’ll ever find.
