Where is the market?
Kids are into cocaine, pot, X, and other trips. I hear that there are no “gateway drugs”.
The music of today isn’t heroin chic worthy.
“Where is the market?”
Apparently that’s a good question. I found an article on BBC from 2008 that said Afghanistan was producing more than twice the known demand back then.

Heroin use is on the rise in the US...primarily in the suburbs, of all places.
People got hooked on the Oxy pills...put those have become more expensive. Not only has there been a clamp down on doctors who improperly prescribe them, but a gel has been added to the pills to make them impossible to crush and snort.
So the heroin is much cheaper, and gives a much quicker high than swallowing pills.
If you google any major city and add ‘heroin deaths’, you will likely see a story about a rising number of fatal overdoses.
A couple of friends of mine that were in Iraq said the radical muslims that were fighting were into heroin.
A lot is probably going to Syria.
Heroin’s big these days. The failure to launch crowd, having no life, is into being kind of dead.
Oddly enough, a lot of the market for that opium and heroin is in Iran. One in four males there have tried an opiate and one in eight is an active addict. Also Russia has a bad heroin problem. The vast majority of that opium is not finding its way to the US, it stays in Eurasia.
