Yep, I think it’s the “Look at me. See what a great thing I did?” behavior which bothers a lot of folks.
Some people never learned it is possible to do a good deed with no Internet acknowledgment of said deed.

No dumb dumb he did the RIGHT thing… He puts up the story and the picture so that everyone will see what he did and that encourages all of us to also act bravely when others need us. It’s called giving good example. Catchin’ on now..slow boat to China…?
