Selena Gomez shows she's no Miley Cyrus during Cowboys halftime performance

Grand Prairie-bred pop star, singer and actress Selena Gomez took the stage on her home turf Thursday as the halftime performer during the Thanksgiving Day football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

In part a product of the Disney Channel family, Gomez is clearly making a classier transition from adorable to adult compared to many of her peers (ahem, Miley). She was a vixen at center field Thursday, sporting a floor length skirt of leather fringe and golden, knee-high wedges. From hair and makeup to style and grace, Gomez exuded confidence and maturity.

Miley Cyrus seems to be in a tail spin. I’d be surprised to learn she is enjoying life. I hope someone helps her pull out of it and she lives to see 30.

I don’t get the deal with pop performances at football halftime. I’m either at the game or watching on TV to see the game. If I want to go to a concert, and I do like to, then I will go to a concert. Halftime is too short to put on a meaningful show. But that’s jus me showing my grumpy old age I guess.

These Thanksgiving Halftime shows seem almost like a super bowl halftime show in length.

I am so fed up with those sheeple surrounding these horrid "entertainers" lipsincing those retched lyrics with jackass dancers all over, and then to top it off, fireworks to cloud the stadium for the 3rd quarter.

What the hell is going on here? If I watch the Super Bowl at all (which I probably won't), I'll turn to Puppy Bowl at halftime.

Just plain gaudy, out of place, stupid, noisy, and poorly done.
