I spent the early 60’s in Hollywood, as a Costumer Designer, Wardrobe Director, and Fashion Designer.. As such, I was required (I know, eye roll) to see most of the most beautiful women in TV, and film, up close and personal.. (smirk)
Believe it or not, with the amount of pressure with the schedules, the scrutinized budgets, the and the trust of the personal privacy issues, I never really had much more than a businesslike attitude with these beautiful women.. but..I was a bit overwhelmed by a few of them..
I was somewhat taken aback, with their trust in my professional abilities, but given my youth, their immodesty in my presence.. My guess is that they were so accustomed to disrobing in public or with professional personnel, that they no longer saw themselves as sexual creatures, but commodities of the projects they were involved with..
However, there was at least a few that caught me off guard, that they commented on it.. Maureen OHara, was the first celebrity that I met in Hollywood, in my first hour, of my first day at the studio.. Maybe it was the shock of seeing her walk up to me, without warning, but it was her absolute beauty that took my breath, and it was so obvious, that she asked if I was, “going to be all right?”.. LOL
The other was Virgina Mayo.. Geeez, both of these women were mature, but entirely REAL WOMEN..
but commodities of the projects

I am an artist and have spent many many hours in figure drawing classes. Yes, indeed! That is the attitude of nearly all of these models.
Great beauty is not raw sexuality. It is much more subtle and refined. If a woman is beautiful (a very rare thing) one's first thought will be "Holy smokes, she's beautiful" not "Look at those hooters, I want to jump her"
Beauty is a refined bourbon, not a jug of grain alcohol
I Googled and she went to hell fast. Got surgery or something, not recognizable as the same girl now. Thanks for the pic-I’d always thought she made the perfect angel.
I saw her on something not too long ago, she has aged very well.
French actresses tend to smoke like chimneys, that probably explains why they don’t age well.
What about Jill St. John?
Agreed about Donna Reed! Gimme a break about Helen Hunt, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz. But it is an interesting list, and worth a few minutes to see. Oh, I would have included Julia Ormond, before her horrible NYT Magazine photo shoot after she played “Sabrina”. In First Knight and Legends of the Fall, she was spell-bindingly gorgeous. Bob
Women with beautiful long hair can do no wrong, in my eyes. Lovely wife indeed!!!!!! Congrats. Bob
Great story, thank you.

Lucille Ball in The Three Stooges' "Three Little Pigskins."
Jacklyn Smith really should have been in there. She’s prettier than Farrah Fawcett.
As for Linda Carter, she’s such a big lefty and that takes away from her beauty.
Travolta looks like a GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip action figure in that picture. What a terrible haircut.
