Should the BCS rankings factor in a chance that Jameis Winston is declared ineligible for the Championship?

Well, the way that would happen would be if the pollsters did…the other BCS factors are "hard" factors. So, to that question? Human nature is what it is. I think it will make a tiny difference if it's just "a chance" he's ineligible. I think if he is charged, and FSU sits him (not nec a slam dunk BTW) - FSU will not play in the title game. The muddy area is a possibility of being charged, but no charges yet.

A more intriguing question might be, will the DA feel the pressure to make a decision one way or the other in time?

Aparently, according to his Attorney, there are a couple of witnesses that will exonerate him. The claim is the alleged victim had been drinking and all sex was consensual. It may be a “he said - she said’ thing, but the winesses may be on the “he said” side. The fact that this is a year old and allegations have been on again - off again, puts this more in the “political arena” as opposed to a straight criminal complaint. Prosecutor may just dump it in the Grand Jury’s lap and let them make the decision. That takes him off the hook.
