Buy American.
Massive tariffs on China. They manipulate their currency, use slave labor, and subsidize their manufacturing industry. Put Americans back to work....
There is a lot of custom handmade stuff out there that can be found on sites like Ebay.
Bump to the top.
Your post sounds like DU talking points
Free market economics dictate appropriate resource allocation for maximum efficiency (i.e the best prices possible)
I have no problem if you are willing to pay double for something American made. But don’t punish me with tariffs
Just looked at the tag in the suit I’m wearing that I bought at Nordstrom Rack, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was made in the USA, and unpleasantly surprised to see that it was union made.
humbug.
No one ever asks if the backline is "fair trade" IT work.
If you like to do your own crafty gifts—Americana Acrylics, Apple Barrel acrylic craft paint and Martha Stewart acrylic craft paint are all made in USA. I favor Apple Barrel.
Porter Cable has jigsaw blades made in the USA.
Just a minor detail about the union issue.
I understand the hesitancy to support union labor, but remember please that China is a communist nation, with no votes.
There are over a billion communists in China, making an increasing amount, of the stuff Americans buy.
Remember you do not do “better” buying something from Communists, then you do buying from a union.
Just a small point. Thanks for your post.
Buy American.
There used to be an old slogan that said "Look for the union label" to get people to buy American made union goods. Today, when people see the union label, they drop the item on the floor and flee the store!

They're both the same. Both would like to communize America. The only difference is the unions want to charge Americans more for their products (so they have more funds to destroy us from within).
No. No buying union. It's as self defeating as buying from China. It's best to avoid them both if possible.
“Remember you do not do better buying something from Communists, then you do buying from a union.”
six of one, half dozen of the other. Both believe in coercion. I should try to avoid both.
I second that. Unionism is communism to me.
That’s one of those things that always cracks me up. People who won’t buy any stinkin union products turn right around and buy from a nation where everyone is basically unionized.
You really can’t escape buying union products and anyone who says they do is an idiot or a liar. If you buy a non union made Toyota, you’re buying a car full of union made parts. (I worked in a union shop and made Toyota parts) Our basic resources are pretty much all union products. The guys who mine ore or coal are pretty much all unionized. The oil industry has lots of union people involved.
There is also the fact that not all union members are flaming liberals. I’ve got lots of union neighbors who are solid tea party conservatives. Polling showed that some 40% of Michigan union members supported the RTW law and there were union members heavily involved in pushing for the law. Its also important to note that large companies often prefer to deal with a union rather than hundreds or thousands of individuals.
When it comes right down to it, public sector unions are the ones doing the most damage and should be completely eliminated.
