Fidel Castro: 'Oswald Could Not Have Been the One Who Killed Kennedy'
The Atlantic ^ | November 20, 2013 | JEFFREY GOLDBERG

Fidel Castro shares at least one belief with the majority of Americans: He is convinced that the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was not the work of a lone gunman, but was the culmination of a broad conspiracy. According to a recent Gallup poll, 61 percent of Americans believe Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone in Dallas 50 years ago. But Castro suspects that Oswald might not have been involved in the assassination at all.

That secret service accidental shooting (George Hickey) is a pretty compelling theory

True. But everyone reported hearing three shots, and it is reported that three empty casings were found in the room with the rifle.

Now I’m more convinced than ever that Oswald acted alone.

I believe Castro has his hands dirty in this—maybe it was he and LBJ working together?

The numbers who believe it was a conspiracy today are almost as high as the numbers in 1964.2 points lower today. You naysayers are really wearing them down.:)

You don’t solve a murder investigation by taking a poll!

True and they attempted to explain that away by saying that it wasn’t unusual to have an empty or “dummy” shell casing for some reason I can’t recall. But the real wonderment is several witnesses reporting smelling gunpowder at the street level, impossible that could have been generated from the 6th floor of the school depository building. What got me was the facts explored and explained by the actions of the 2 bullets that hit Kennedy. A full metal jacket bullet, such as the one from the gun that Oswald had acted exactly as what happened with the first shot that entered and went straight through exiting his throat area. The kill shot, that horrible part of the film where we see the top right part of his head blow off, the bullet actng completely different. That type of bullet didn’t come from Oswalds gun. Crazy huh

I know you’re kidding, but for the record I don’t say nay or yea. Even after half a century, the clamor is so intense that I don’t have the stamina to suss out the truth. Indeed, I don’t think it is possible to do so. Johnson, the mob, Castro, the Soviets, the CIA...I’ve seen persuasive arguments for each of these, assuming the arguer is being truthful. But that would be a foolish assumption, methinks, so I remain agnostic on the subject. Maybe someday the truth will out. Maybe.

The Left has stirred up all this conspiracy stuff for the last 50 years because one of their own did the deed. He was kooky crazy guy who did the job on his own but communism helped drive his homicidal instincts.

Something that helped me to understand how all this works was in college when a leftie kook who cheered “yeah they got him” when Ronald Reagan was shot did a radio documentary about Jim Jones in Guyana on my college station.

The leftie kook played the final tape featuring Jones as the deadly Kool Aid was prepared for the mass murder-suicide event. Jones ranted against all his enemies real and imagined including the United States government.

Jones also said on the tape that the Peoples Temple was a Marxist organization.

The student who did this suggested that the 900 deaths in Guyana were not caused by Jim Jones, but by the CIA-United States government because Jones said on the tape they were his enemies.

When communists do bad things other communists have to rewrite the story.

Rewriting the old newspapers was Winston Smith’s job in “1984”.

Good grief! Jim Jones was a communist, and was so wacked out that his own people killed a liberal democrat congressman, Leo Ryan.

What was Ryan doing at Jonestown? Checking out what an insane leftist was up to.

There was a time when even liberal democrats weren't "cool" with communism.

That time has passed.

I'm surprised that Ryan didn't become celebrated as a martyr in the anti-commie fight.

Jones simply did what ALL communists do if they aren't stopped. Kill people.

Harvey Milk thought Jones was a great guy....and I suspect the two of them hooked up.

I still maintain that Jim Nabors, (Gomer Pyle), was the shooter. I have yet to see any evidence to prove me wrong.

First bullet pierced soft tissue. Second hit hard bone, tumble whipped through brain, slammed interior of skull like a hammer.

LBJ, a most corrupt, power hungry, nasty thug received the most prized reward that he coveted for his entire life at that moment. Politics and theater, both orchestrated.

Andy Griffith could never account for his whereabouts on that day. Was Andy in the grassy knoll? Was Barney in the third floor? We may never know
, Aunt Bea took it to the grave.
