She is only half to blame. Nifong duty was to weed, and I do mean “weed” her out as creditable. Nifong knew early on she was fake but chose to run with her so he could make a name for himself. Well he did, a bad name, and now he’s lost his ability to practice law.
Certainly, I'm aware the lax players were falsely accused of rape, Nifong criminally abused his office and the campus officials and professional race baiters all jumped the gun on this. Yet, let's not overlook the fact that had the lacrosse team members gone to the gym, went to a movie or a bar, or just decided to watch TV instead of hiring strippers in the first place none of this would have gone down. I would like to think that given the opportunity to go back to that evening, they would opt to do something other than hire these *ladies* for their entertainment.
I've never been falsely accused by a stripper, nor put through a legal wringer because of said false accusations, but then again, I've never hired one...
