says someone who is not responsible for the laundry done at his house...
seriously i was unaware of the amount of HATRED for the POD. who in the world wants to * around with pouring liquid or powder, when you can drop a pre-measured pod into the washer? it’s a godsend for anyone sending a kid off to college to do their laundry for the first time in their lives. i am willing to PAY for convenience, if you don’t want convenience then you can feel free to get your bar of fels naptha soap and washboard and go out back to the dang creek to wash clothes!!
We may be ants but we don’t miscre very often.

If it weren’t for low-class, Barry would have no class at all.

You’re pushing the envelope, Robert.

Great job! I can’t stand Carney,
but I have to admit that he has the
toughest job in America, explaining
Barry’s b.s. to the press while tiptoeing
along the line of telling outright lies.

You do excellent work when you don’t get lost in
a stream of consciousness rap.
Thank you! And as for Carney, anytime my 1st husband was assigned an easy engineering job, he’d grin and say it is a tough job, but somebody has to do it-that is sort of like sympathy for the devil...
Uh oh-gave myself an earworm of a favorite Stones song-”Please allow me to introduce myself, I’m a man of wealth and taste...”
I like that stream of consciousness rap....
I’m a single dad. I have 4 daughters with varying degrees of give-a-sh*t (all generally low), and if i don’t ever have to deal with spilled liquid detergent or a box of powder soap flakes ever again, only to have all 4 deny making the mess, then it is TOTALLY worth it for me. I think they do a superior job, as well.
If I can simplify all aspects of my life by 10% like the pods seem to have done, I’m all for it.
And hell yeah, I use the dishwasher pod things, too.
While I will pass on the washboard and Fels soap-as well as the wringer washer I used while living in the hunting cabin on the ranch in the hard times of my youth and the cub’s birth and earliest days-I do like the scent of a cheap liquid detergent from Mexico that I use-Xtra detergente-pasion tropicale. I like the scent of it better than any of the pods-it even smells good in the air while the clothes are on the outside line, which I always use in nice weather.
use the dishwasher pods too. and i remain incredulous that anything about the pods looks like CANDY, bright colors and all. Pods for coffee, pods all around~!
They had Salvo when I was a kid, just drop it into the washer and voila, clean laundry. Foolproof.
i am trying to think of some old-timey toxic substance that might look like candy. what about mothballs? couldn’t they have been mistaken for candy? wasn’t a cause celebre back then if they were, but suddenly P&G is the antichrist for making colorful pods. you’d swear that the opponents are accusing them of doing it intentionally!
Pod people. Lol
I do do the vast majority of the laundry at home. My wife insists we use borax as a booster and sometimes Tide boosters.
I really dont think it makes anu difference
