Barbara W. Tuchman, Stilwell and the American Experience in China, 1911-45

Last month on one of our dog-walking trips to Carmel I got some pictures of the Stilwell home there. It is identified by a plaque mounted in front. It is a nice house, but not as spectacular as many in this exclusive neighborhood. I think Stilwell originally bought 5 connected lots there at Carmel Point. That would represent serious money today.
