A call for stories: Cataloging stories of women pressured to abort in poor prenatal diagnoses
Life Site news ^ | Dr. Gerard M. Nadal

Posted on 11/18/2013 6:05:04 PM PST by Morgana

It is well-known that women who receive so-called poor prenatal diagnoses are pressured by genetic counselors and obstetricians to abort the baby. Often, as in the case of Down syndrome, the diagnosis comes with just a week or two left before the legal limit to have an abortion. In the midst of the shock and bewilderment, the feelings of inadequacy in the face of certain special needs (Feelings which are completely normal), often comes severe coercion by physicians who will refuse to treat unless an abortion is obtained. Mothers and fathers are asked why they would make their child suffer. Family and babies’ fathers threaten physical, financial, and emotional abandonment.

With Down syndrome over 90% of babies are aborted within this crucible.

I have heard first-hand accounts that are horrid, accounts where the truth of therapeutic options for prenatal surgeries, post-partum surgeries and therapies often make for very functional children. Even when such is not the option, there is hardly ever a referral to a support group for a different perspective.

Then there are the frequent horror stories of the baby aborted and found to have been perfectly healthy and normal. Modern medicine is on a eugenic rampage and the stories of these mothers and fathers need to be told.

Therefore, I am beginning a project to collect the stories of parents who have been victims of abusive physicians and genetic counselors, whether they aborted or carried the child to term. Both the triumph and tragedy need to be told. Names will be kept anonymous and stories will be printed only by permission and in the parents’ own words in an upcoming book. Please reach out to anyone you know with such a story, and then email me at:

gerardnadal60@gmail.com

All names will be kept strictly confidential, and only those stories will be published where written authorization to do so has been obtained.

Feel free to contact me with any and all questions.

God Bless.

My daughter-in-law was repeatedly approached by her obstetrician to abort my granddaughter before she was born. The plates in my granddaughter’s head did not move together at the appropriate time and it caused great concern. The pressure on my daughter-in-law to abort was relentless. Thankfully, my daughter-in-law refused even after numerous sonograms.

My granddaughter is now 14 yrs. old. She is beautiful, musically and artistically talented and at the top of her class in high school. She has been repeatedly tested because she is dyslexic but when tested was off the charts mathematically.

We are so blessed that my daughter-in-law stoically refused.

I wasn’t pressured to abort but was told I had a high likely-hood of my child having DS due to an ultrasound that showed a larger than gestational age nuchal fold and an alpha feta protein test. I’m sure I’m not spelling all of that correctly.

But I was highly pressured to get amniocentesis. They called a ob/gyn in who specialized in genetics and I saw his last name sounded Italian and he looked Italian.

So I said, “Dr. Italian Sounding Name, you know how in the Bible Mary told the angel, ‘Be it unto me according to thy word?’ Well, that’s where I am with this baby and I’m not changing my mind.”

And they never asked me again. And the baby was fine.

Here it starts. Life News better be very, very careful--a lot of freaky people will come out of the woodwork, anxious to slander and make things up.

Remember that these stories can be traced back to an individual physician who just might sue you . And patients indeed do make things up, especially Meunchausen types.

I get similar stories about Mother Who The Doctor Said Would Die in Three Months. What the doctor said, though, was, "Every patient is an individual, but based on my experience and the research you ought to at least get your affairs in order."

Be Careful, Life News. Remember there is a chart somewhere. And I won't feel very sorry for you if you get dragged into court, carried away by your own righteous cause. Remember that Lila Rose got it on tape.

PS…Nadal IS NOT AN M.D. He’s a psychologist. And he can get his butt sued, too.

They’ll just be reporting what people tell them, it’s called journalism. The MSM runs with unsupported crap all the time, on a daily basis. “He said, she said” is half the news.

Oh Bull!

I can recite my medical history at will and just because a doc might recognize himself, IF he were to trace my identity, in NO WAY does that legally infer that I’ve made some statement of liable against him.

If you claim that someone tried to talk you into an abortion and that doctor did no such thing, prepare to face a slander and libel suit.

Don't believe someone will lie to get attention, or perhaps someone wouldn't lie to cast blame on someone else because she feels guilty…guess again. Or watch an episode of House, a silly show except for … "everybody lies." The one thing a doctor is taught from the outset is that patients will lie, just as a law client will lie, to avoid reality and guilt. Only doctors surround themselves with chaperones and document copiously.

And doctors don't like their patients very much these days.

Your memory is worthless compared to a chart.

All I'm saying is to tell the truth. But that's a lot to expect from a dizzy woman fresh from murdering her child.

I've always thought that insufficient blame is brought to bear on the murdering mommies.

It's called second hand garbage, and if any individual doctor ends up identified and there's not sufficient evidence, that doctor is free from the constraints of HIPAA. This psychologist is a narcissistic idiot and he's going to end up in court. Or maybe he's just beating the bushes for clients?

And Nadal (what sort of name is that?) is not outed himself.

There are fewer physicians in your community than you might think.

Maybe women an men need to take responsibility for the children they have killed, instead of looking for a scapegoat.

Don't forget the murdering daddies and their part.
