On Thursday a United Nations interpreter, unaware that her microphone was on, uttered words of truth in reaction to the General Assemblys adoption of nine politically-motivated resolutions condemning Israel, and zero resolutions on the rest of the world.
Under the mistaken impression that she was speaking only to colleagues, the interpreter uttered the following words into the headphones of every UN delegate, and before a live webcast audience worldwide:
I think when you have
like a total of ten resolutions on Israel and Palestine, theres gotta be something, cest un peu trop, non? [Its a bit much, no?] I mean I know
Theres other really bad shit happening, but no one says anything about the other stuff.

Comment made at 2:00.
After the Holocaust, the anti-semites just decided to find a more subtle way to go after the Jews. The UN seemed like the perfect vehicle and it has served that purpose well for over 60 years without most people catching on.
“Get the US out of the UN then get the UN out of the US....Sooner the better.
God is getting hated on big time.
The UN might be trying to drag US down but the converse is, US may be helping to keep UN from diving completely into the sewer.
I guess she can kiss her job goodbye.
Maybe she could be a conservative news commentator. Oh the stories that these translators could tell.
The UN might be trying to drag US down but the converse is, US may be helping to keep UN from diving completely into the sewer.
That is a comment everyone should remember until the UN is gone. Which IMHO should be the objective instead of getting US out of the UN.
We and a few others are the ONLY stabilizing influence therein. We should continue to take advantage of that influence while we can.
The UN seemed like the perfect vehicle...
Exactly. The UN has played the “Palestinian Refugee” game for the last 50 years. In any other conflict, the losers lose. They are absorbed into the victor’s land, or they move on.
But in Israel, the losers are continually propped up by the UN. The UN NEEDS the Palestinians as “Refugees” in order to continue their anti-Semitism. It’s a bad situation for both sides.
It used to be that the US was occasionally stymied from doing good by the USSR - China UN Security council veto.
Nowadays, the US is occasionally prevented from doing evil and starting WWIII by the Russia - China UN Security council veto.
The UN has always been authoritarian socialist elite rule, but occasionally they can be tricked into doing something not so bad.
Christian evangelism does (quietly) help alleviate some of the “refugee” trouble. Israel is very allergic to Christian evangelism to Jews, but does not care about Christian evangelism to gentiles. Christian Pallies tend to behave themselves.
True... a buffer against Obama mischief. Who woulda thunk it.
There will always be a remnant, imo
A more natural place for the UN would be Paris.
It's hard for me to come to terms with this reality in current American and global politics, but it is stupid to pretend otherwise.
Yes, that’s been promised. That’s just the reason for the hate.
Follow the theology.
China is growing in “quiet Christianity.” The Communists make a big show about restricting Christian faith to their state worshiping distortion, but in practice they can’t.
With the abolition of communism, the Russian Orthodox church has gained a resurgence; even Putin flaunts a cross, which he wouldn’t have gotten away with in his KGB days.
But the faith in the US is getting lukewarm now. (With a few hot spots remaining, though.)
It’s been a long time since one country absorbed another after a war.
There's just something about saying it in French that really underscores the point.
Well, North Viet Nam certainly absorbed South Viet Nam in 1975. Also, Yugoslavians were absorbed into Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia etc.
The point is, in none of these cases did the UN see fit to “create” a permanent refugee situation as they did with the “Palestinians”, who were actually Jordanians.
The losers were absorbed, or, they moved on...
