In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “Word for the Day”.
Chthonic
Adjective, also chthonian
Of or relating to the underworld.
Greek Mythology
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

So, here’s a story for the AM.
I get up around 5ish... So I put on Fox5 news. Daily.
This morning, they run a story about a “scientific” study that says “cold weather makes men more amorous” .
I send a tweet in 2 parts to Juliet Huddy that reads...
“Wow it took SCIENCE 30 years to catch up to high school limericks”
First part.
So she usually keeps her phone next to the laptop
They go to the traffic girl, and as they cut back she’s reading the limerick.
“When the weathers hot and sticky, thats no time for dunkin dicky,
When there’s frost upon the pumpkin thats the time for dickie dunkin!”
She was ROR on the air..so hard the cohost was chuckling, and asking her if she was alright.
